Exercise Your Right to Vote!

As election day approaches, RBE students are going to learn about the presidential election process here in the United States.

One of the important things for students to understand is that voting is a right of every US citizen, but it hasn’t always been that way. Many groups of people have had to fight for the right to vote.

The RBE Library will helping students understand parts of the election process so that when they are older, they will be able to get out there and vote!

Below are some of the resources students will use to learn about the election process and the history of voting in our country. Then, RBE is going to conduct it’s own presidential election to see which presidential candidate we think should be the next US president!

  1. I think it is important to vote because this country went through a lot just to vote and if you dont vote its like they fought to vote for nothing.

  2. l think we should vote because……America needs freedom!!!!!! Well, we need a president to do that! Without a president we won’t have someone among us while war!!!! Would you want that?

  3. I think it is important to vote because we need a he or a she as a president(a person who people think is good) because we don’t need a king

  4. I think it is important to vote because than we can have a good leader that will chose good laws,and rights.And so we can chose good laws so we make good choices.

  5. I think it is important for people to vote because they need someone to be in charge for their country, or else something might go wrong.
